IWAP offers the experience of meeting warm, intelligent, interesting women who are very friendly and welcoming to those who are new to Prague as well as women who’ve been here for a long time.

Frequently ladies ask about the benefits of becoming an IWAP member and about why someone should join the group. First and foremost, it is the easiest way to meet great people who are nice and supportive, especially to those who are new to living internationally or are living in Prague for the first time. Joining IWAP is immediately becoming a part of a large sorority or close-knit family filled with women of all ages and different walks of life. Everyone in IWAP is ready to be your friend and help answer questions about life here – which can reduce the anxieties of being in a new place.

Once you become a new member, you get a weekly email with all of the IWAP events taking place each week, as well as other messages from fellow members sharing information about exciting events and opportunities to come. Another great resource is the Facebook group – IWAP Interactive – a resource for members to share local news, items for sale, photos from IWAP activities and events, or questions about life in Prague. IWAP Interactive is a closed and moderated Facebook group for IWAP Members and friends only.

Each month, there is a General Meeting for all of IWAP, hosted in various locations throughout Prague. These meetings include coffee and nibbles, and there could be a guest speaker, introduction to someone with an interesting or inspiring story to share, or a private fashion show. Regardless, it’s a great opportunity to meet new people and visit with friends. Visit the IWAP Events calendar to check when the next GM takes place.

Five days a week, there are numerous free and coordinated events with other women for group walks, sports activities, conversation groups in several languages, games, or volunteering for the community. There are more than two dozen Interest Groups ranging from games, book clubs, sports, a walking group, evening socials and more. If you don’t see an interest group that fits your preferences, you can also create your own group!

When you join you will be able to register and access content provided just for members including upcoming Social & Cultural events, Pop-up Charity events, and all of our interest group events. Location and contact details are provided for each event. In addition, you can connect with other members using the Members Directory. This is also a Member Recommended Business Directory listing business in which IWAP members give their stamp of approval!
